Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 17, 2026

This policy covers denverporchfest.com and the official Denver PorchFest festival app.

1. Who we are

Denver PorchFest (“PorchFest,” “we,” “us”) operates the website at denverporchfest.com and the official Denver PorchFest mobile app (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Contact: info@denverporchfest.com

2. What this covers

  • Our website and related forms (applications, volunteering, donations)
  • Donation / ticket purchases processed through our ticketing partner
  • The Denver PorchFest App (map, lineup, schedule, updates, and deals)

3. Information we collect

Account and ticket information. When you buy a donation ticket or receive App access, we may process your name, email address, ticket type, and a unique access code used to sign in to the App. Ticket purchases are processed by our ticketing provider (currently Humanitix); we receive ticket and contact details needed to operate PorchFest and the App.

App sign-in and device binding. When you sign in with an access code, we store a device identifier on your ticket record so the same code cannot be used on multiple devices at once. Signing out (or an organizer reset) can clear that binding.

App usage content. The App loads festival content from our servers (for example lineup, porch/map locations, updates, and donor deals). If you redeem a deal, we record that redemption against your ticket so it cannot be redeemed twice.

Information stored on your device. The App may store preferences locally on your device (for example favorited artists). That data stays on your device unless you clear app data or uninstall.

Website analytics. Our website may use standard web analytics (such as Google Analytics) to understand aggregate traffic and improve the site. Analytics providers may set cookies or similar technologies according to their own policies.

Communications. If you email us or submit a form, we receive the information you provide (such as name, email, and message content).

What we do not collect via the App. The App does not request access to your phone’s GPS/precise location permission. The map shows festival porch and venue locations we publish; it does not track your personal whereabouts.

4. How we use information

  • Operate PorchFest and provide the website and App
  • Verify donation-ticket access and send invite / access emails
  • Prevent sharing of App access codes across devices
  • Deliver lineup, map, schedule, updates, and eligible donor deals
  • Respond to questions and support requests
  • Improve the event, website, and App (including aggregate analytics)
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect against abuse or fraud

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information with:

  • Service providers who help us run PorchFest (for example ticketing, email delivery, hosting, databases, and analytics)
  • Organizers and volunteers as needed to produce the event and support attendees
  • Legal / safety when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security

6. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including event operations, support, security, and legal requirements. Local App preferences remain on your device until you remove them.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards (including HTTPS for App and website traffic). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. Children

PorchFest is a family-friendly community event. The App is intended for ticket holders and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the App. If you believe a child provided information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your choices and requests

You may:

  • Email us to ask what information we have or to request correction/deletion where applicable
  • Sign out of the App (and request a device-binding reset if you need to move devices)
  • Control cookies/analytics through your browser settings where available

Email info@denverporchfest.com with privacy requests. We may need to verify your request.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the website or App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
